I Dr. Diana obtained her undergraduate in psychology at The George Washington University in Washington, DC in 2008. She then moved to the DFW metroplex to pursue her graduate degree in Clinical Psychology at Argosy University, Dallas. She graduated with her doctorate in 2013 and began independent practice.
Dr. Diana has experience in a wide range of clinical populations, settings, disorders and treatment modalities. She has conducted clinical assessments on individuals across the lifespan and currently provides counseling for patients ages 10 and up. Dr. Diana has seen clients in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient psychiatric, community agencies, private practice and skilled nursing.
Since 2015, Dr. Diana has worked for the nation’s largest behavioral health provider in nursing and rehabilitation centers, MedOptions Inc. She travels to a variety of skilled nursing centers providing clinical assessment, psychotherapy and psychoeducation to clients, their families and nursing staff. She collaborates with occupational/speech/physical therapy staff to assist patients with a variety of health conditions (amputations, hip replacements, infection) recover and get back home. She also assists clients who are remaining in long-term nursing care (nursing homes) adjust to leaving their homes/belongings and accept changes in their physical and cognitive abilities. In her private practice, Dr. Diana enjoys working with family members of persons with dementia/Alzheimer’s and other chronic health conditions.
Equine Psychotherapy is Dr. Diana’s unique specialty and a technique she has found successful in providing healing and growth. Dr. Diana sees clients specializing in depression, anxiety, domestic violence/sexual assault and other traumas. She provides equine services at Riding Unlimited.
